The Story Behind the UK's Natural Dog Conference

The Natural Dog Expo is a non-profit event founded by Caroline Griffith who has been practicing and following natural dog care since the 1990’s and was the co-organiser of the Natural Dog Conference in 2015, originally bringing speakers such as Rodney Habib and Dr Karen Becker to UK shores

A canine nutrition consultant for major pet food companies, author, award-winning tutor and pioneer in the natural dog care sector, Caroline is the first to encourage others to learn, discover and also share their story or studies as this is the only way we can truly spread the natural word and serve as many dogs as possible.

The Expo’s aim is to Empower canine guardians through its supportive, fun, community and the excellent education the speakers offer.
The Natural Dog Expo is the only UK conference dedicated solely to the message and the science behind fresh nutrition & natural dog care choices.

Hannah (pictured) is our Chief Delegate Supporter.
Hannah has recently graduated with a 1st* in BSc Applied Animal Science with a specialism in Microbiome. When not supporting us all at the Expo she is busy writing papers and articles that highlight and prove the power of fresh food for dogs. Her Doctorate research into Periodontal Biome & Feeding is currently being written, working with top vets in the industry Hannah’s study will highlight the safety of a raw fed dog’s periodontal biome.

Our Host
Sam Muelas has become regular feature on our transformational stage each year. Introducing top industry vets & experts for you, ensuring you feel comfortable and keeping the event to schedule – despite Caroline’s best efforts to add in extra giveaways or other exciting additions to the day!

Education & Awareness is Key for this sector.
We endeavour to book speakers that can enhance your dog’s health, wellbeing and happiness as well as give you the chance to geek-out on your favourite subjects.

Our Team supports the Dog Risk project in Helsinki, and the regulation the APNC brings to pet nutrition consultancy and education.

We support a fresh feeding dog shelter charity each year at the conference, do make sure you grab tickets for the fundraising raffle!

We are thrilled to be hosts of the first ever Fresh & Raw Pet Food Industry Awards in 2027 too. We hope you will join us on the Saturday evening to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the industry.

Natural Dog Care would not be where it is today without the tireless work & campaigning from a few dedicated people back in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
We truly would not have the diverse range of fresh pet food, therapies and awareness of natural pet care that we are extremely privileged to have in the UK without these people! They inspired our Caroline back then, and many more of you too.

The Natural Dog Expo is thus dedicated in honour of Pioneers: CHC’s Catherine O’Driscoll & Dr Rupert Sheldrake (pictured left with Caroline & Dr Nick Thompson) and Veterinarians Dr Chris Day and Dr Richard Allport.
